Simon might leave American Idol...

Guys, kids at my school have been talking about this for WEEKS. Aparently, somewhere (idk if it is a video or interview or what) Simon has said that if Sanjaya wins American Idol this year, then Simon is never coming back. At first I was like, "oh, yea right", but then my teachers starting talking about it, and (i go to a Christian School, and my teachers wouldn't make stuff up) then my Bible teacher asked me if I had heard about Simon. I said yea, but I asked her if it was true. She said it was, and she had seen it. (actually, I think it's a video) And then today I was getting my hair cut, and the lady that cuts my hair, Jennifer, and I started talking about American Idol. Then it came up, and she said "Did you hear that Simon might not come back to American Idol if Sanjaya wins?" and then yesterday, my Dad came home from work, and people at his work, were talking about it too. If Simon quits, then American Idol would lose alot of fans.

simon will never leave american idol. he's making too much money to leave. he just says things like that so people will watch the show. sanjaya, or whatever his name is, has drawn more interest to the show, which it needs, because this season is an off year.

you got give people more time to post, lol. this has been discussed before, he's contractually bound to stay until season 10 (I think thats how far he's stuck til) and he made the comment more so to make a point than anything else.

I actually already knew about this news,he did an interview recently and announced that if Sanjaya wins the title this year,he will not be returning next year.I can't blame him one bit.
I'm thinking American Idol has bit the dust.

Yes Simon said on American Idol recently that if Sanjaya won, he would quit. I agree Shellie, I think American Idol's gotten a little dull this year. The only girl singers left all sound almost exactly the same, and the guys are a bit arrogant (no offense to any guy fans!), so it's just not that enjoyable this year. At least, not as enjoyable as seasons 4 or 5 were.

I agree! Simon's funny, and he's not afraid to speak his mind or tell the truth to a singer, even if he is a little harsh sometimes. Without him, there'd be no "mean judge" around.
